Mapping of Containment Zones in Mumbai (MCGM)

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) have mapped Containment zones (starred areas) which are essentially areas where covid-positives have been detected and the surrounding area have been sealed to protect everyone inside and outside from further spread. There is nothing alarming but just to restrict the virus from spreading beyond the Containment Zone. Supply of essentials will continue and there is no need for panic.

Updates issued from the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India (March-April 2020)

The Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India has issued a detailed manual on “Masks for Curbing the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus” and Guidelines for Hygiene and Sanitation in Densely Populated Areas, during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi

The ICMR in New Delhi is the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research. Currently, ICMR is the authorized body which puts upr all information on testing for COVID-19 in the country.

If you go to testing facilities page, the India map displays all government (green icon) and private (blue icon) laboratories that serve as COVID-19 testing facilities. For example, zoom in to your area in the India map, choose the “blue or green icon” in the area. When you click it, the address features on the right side.

World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Health Alert on WhatsApp

On 20th March 2020, WHO launched a messaging service with partners WhatsApp and Facebook to keep people safe from coronavirus. The service can be accessed through a link that opens a conversation on WhatsApp. You can simply type “hi” to activate the conversation. This will prompt a menu of options that can help answer your doubts about COVID-19.
